It is incredibly frustrating, as a LOCAL Tea Party organizer, to hear Rosie O'Donnell doppelganger, Amy Kremer, speak for "The Tea Party." What kind of movement would the Tea Party movement be if it were following pretentious publicity hounds who believe they are national party bosses? Actually, we might be like one of the political parties in that case.
I do not expect that the direction of, suggestions by, or example of the "Tea Party Express", "Tea Party Patriots", or any other self-important national group of fund-raisers will inform the actual Tea Party participants as to who they will or won't support. Sure, some believe that the Tea Party movement needs to follow a national leader and march to one beat across the nation, but of course, these people aren't likely actual Tea Party people. There is a certain haughty elitist strain, like the Ebola Virus or Swine Flu, that permeates commentators and pundits. The same ailment that suggests that they, alone, possess the secret knowledge as to who can or cannot win an election, inspires them to believe that they know what is best for this Tea Party thing the little people are doing.
